This weekend, I had the opportunity to serve as Course Marshal for the Rule of 3 Gravel Race here in Northwest Arkansas while riding alongside the lead pack during one of the biggest gravel cycling events in the country.

Former World Tour rider Romain Bardet ultimately took the win, but what stood out most was seeing just how far the Northwest Arkansas cycling scene has grown.

Events like Rule of 3 are no longer small regional races.

They are helping establish Bentonville and Northwest Arkansas as one of the premier cycling destinations in the United States.

At The Bike Inn, supporting that growth matters deeply to me because I am not just the owner of a Bentonville cycling hotel.

I am also an active participant in the Northwest Arkansas cycling community.

Supporting the Northwest Arkansas Cycling Community

There are many hotels in Bentonville that market toward cyclists.

Very few are actively involved in the cycling scene itself.

Serving as Course Marshal for Rule of 3 is one example of how The Bike Inn continues supporting the cycling community that helped shape Bentonville into what it is today.

From race weekends and trail advocacy to supporting local events and helping riders experience Northwest Arkansas, giving back to the cycling world has always been part of the mission behind The Bike Inn.

Cycling is not simply a tourism strategy here.

It is part of everyday life.

Why Rule of 3 Matters

Rule of 3 Gravel Race has quickly become one of the most respected gravel cycling events in the country.

Riders travel from across the United States and internationally to experience Northwest Arkansas gravel roads, climbing, scenery, and cycling culture.

The event showcases:

  • Arkansas gravel riding
  • Northwest Arkansas hospitality
  • Bentonville cycling culture
  • local communities
  • outdoor tourism
  • rider camaraderie

Seeing professional riders like Romain Bardet competing on Arkansas gravel roads shows how nationally respected the region has become.

Built by Cyclists, for Cyclists

The Bike Inn was created specifically for riders visiting Bentonville and Northwest Arkansas.

Because I actively ride and participate in this community myself, the property was intentionally designed around what cyclists actually need during race weekends, training trips, and riding vacations.

Guests have access to:

  • in-room bike storage
  • bike maintenance stands
  • hot tub recovery
  • cold plunge
  • sauna
  • shuttle support
  • outdoor gathering spaces
  • trail recommendations
  • route planning help

That rider-first mindset comes directly from being involved in the cycling scene personally.

More Than a Bentonville Cycling Hotel

One of the reasons many guests return to The Bike Inn is because they quickly realize they are staying somewhere connected to the actual cycling culture of Northwest Arkansas.

Guests are not simply checking into a hotel room.

They are staying at a property built by someone who actively supports the same trails, races, events, and cycling community that make Bentonville special.

That connection creates a different experience than staying at a standard hotel.

Bentonville Cycling Continues Growing

Northwest Arkansas cycling continues growing every year.

Events like Rule of 3, increasing trail development, gravel riding expansion, and national cycling attention continue pushing Bentonville onto the national stage.

The Bike Inn will continue supporting that growth however possible because the cycling community helped build Bentonville into the destination it is today.

Planning Your Bentonville Cycling Trip

If you are planning a cycling trip to Bentonville or Northwest Arkansas, staying somewhere connected to the cycling scene can completely change your experience.

The Bike Inn combines:

  • rider-focused lodging

  • outdoor gathering spaces
  • direct access to Bentonville riding culture

Whether you are visiting for mountain biking, gravel riding, race weekends, or exploring Northwest Arkansas cycling for the first time, The Bike Inn was built by riders, for riders.
